The challenge

Viedoc had a strong marketing foundation with good investment in the right channels and a knowledgeable team that understood their market. However, their website wasn't effectively communicating their value proposition or showcasing their product in the best possible way.

The website suffered from three critical challenges:

  1. Poor user experience - The UX was problematic, making it difficult for visitors to find essential information. Navigation didn't follow best practices, and the conversion process was unintuitive and challenging for potential customers.
  2. Technical limitations - The website was built on a legacy CMS. It was difficult to edit and maintain, disconnected from their CRM system, and performed poorly.
  3. Missed conversion opportunities - Despite quality marketing efforts driving traffic to the site, the website wasn't effectively converting visitors into qualified leads, representing a significant missed opportunity for business growth.

The solution

Blend created a new website using HubSpot Content Hub and onboarded Viedoc to the platform for their broader marketing operations. The website redesign was the primary focus, with supporting HubSpot implementation to create an integrated marketing foundation.

UX audit

Keyword strategy

Through comprehensive keyword research, we identified high-intent commercial keywords that could be mapped to product pages to capture in-market buyers actively searching for clinical trial solutions.

Sitemap development

We created a strategic sitemap featuring all required pages, with each decision backed by research and data to ensure the site architecture would effectively serve both users and business objectives.

Wireframes

Page sections were mapped out in low-fidelity wireframes to establish the optimal information hierarchy and user flow before moving into the design phase.

Website design

Our creative team designed a website that effectively communicates Viedoc's value proposition while providing an exceptional user experience. The clean, modern design combines Viedoc's established brand identity with high-quality software imagery that buyers need to evaluate the platform. Information is presented clearly and logically, making it easy for visitors to find exactly what they're looking for.

A comprehensive mega menu helps users navigate to relevant content quickly and intuitively, addressing one of the key usability issues from the previous site.

Recognising that many software buyers prefer browsing in dark mode, we included this option to enhance user comfort and engagement. Strategic placement of calls-to-action and conversion elements guides visitors naturally through their evaluation journey.

The website was developed on HubSpot Content Hub with a focus on scalability and ease of management, enabling Viedoc's team to take full control of their website and evolve it as their business needs change.

We utilised HubDB to create an efficient system for managing resources, making it straightforward for the Viedoc team to maintain and update important content like case studies, whitepapers, and product documentation.
